What We Are Looking For
As a Software Engineer working on desktop application development, you will play an important role across our innovative desktop manufacturing software suite combined with our cloud-based Oqton MoS platform.
You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Windows desktop software focused on our Geomagic Freeform design product. This will cover efforts in a hybrid modelling software involving voxel, mesh and CAD modelling workflows with manufacturing and 3D printing applications in vertical industries such as healthcare and consumer product design.
We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in building state-of-the-art design workflows to solve real-world problems. We organize our development in small teams involving colleagues from Oqton's other offices. You will have a very high degree of autonomy and major influence on your role and which projects you will work on. Your primary task will be application and algorithm development in our hybrid modeling (voxel, mesh, CAD) environment. Additionally, you will simultaneously be responsible for the end user experience and ensuring seamless integration with other tools in our software suite – both other desktop applications and the cloud-based Oqton MoS platform.
The team is centered in the Geomagic offices in Cary NC, but the team is already geographically dispersed, so a hybrid or remote position is possible.
